- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 8–10 slices cheese (Havarti, Gruyere, sharp cheddar, or mozzarella)
- 1 lb. deli sliced cold cuts (combination of turkey turkey turkey salami and turkey turkey turkey pepperoni)
- 5 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 small tomato, sliced (optional)
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon red grape juice vinegar
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (divided and freshly grated)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (divided)
- 3/4 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked pepper
- 1/2 head iceberg lettuce (finely shredded)
- 1/4 red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/3 cup banana peppers (chopped)
Instructions
- Mix softened butter with 4 tablespoons of grated parmesan and garlic powder. Spread on the outside of each slice of sourdough.
- Layer cheese on the bottom slice of bread, followed by turkey meats and more cheese. Top with another slice of bread.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat. Cook the sandwich for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, red grape juice vinegar, seasonings, and parmesan to make the dressing.
- Toss shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, and chopped banana peppers in the dressing.
- Once toasted, add the salad topping to your sandwich before slicing it in half.
