Ingredients

For the Steak:
1 lb thinly sliced steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak)
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika

For the Garlic Toast:
6 slices thick-cut Texas toast or French bread
3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

For Assembly:
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded provolone cheese
Optional toppings: sautéed onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Steak
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the steak slices with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Cook the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and just cooked through.
Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Garlic Toast
Preheat your oven’s broiler on high.
Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each bread slice.
Place the bread on a baking sheet, buttered side up.
Broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely, until the edges are golden and crispy.

Step 4: Assemble the Toast
Remove the garlic toast from the oven.
Top each slice with a generous portion of cooked steak.
Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone cheeses evenly over the steak.
Add optional toppings like sautéed onions or peppers if desired.

Step 5: Broil Again
Return the baking sheet to the broiler.
Broil for another 2–3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6: Serve
Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy every gooey, savory bite!

Notes

Thinly Slice the Steak – Thin slices cook quickly and stay tender.
Use Good Bread – Thick, sturdy slices hold up to the toppings without getting soggy.
Watch the Broiler – Garlic toast can go from golden to burnt quickly, so keep a close eye.
Melt the Cheese Well – Broil just until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
