Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 heads garlic
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 8 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices white artisan bread (ciabatta, Italian, sourdough)
  • 1 large tomato (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese (grated)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 8 slices cooked turkey turkey bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the tops off the garlic heads and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap in foil and roast for about 30–35 minutes until soft.
  2. Allow garlic to cool slightly before squeezing cloves into a bowl. Mix in softened butter, parsley, and salt until well combined.
  3. Generously spread the roasted garlic mixture on one side of each slice of bread. Layer one slice with Gruyere cheese, mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, and cooked turkey turkey bacon. Top with another slice of bread spread-side down.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook sandwiches for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from heat when both sides are crispy and cheese is melted. Serve immediately while warm.
