- 9 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
- 3/4 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Cut in 1/2 cup of butter until crumbly.
- In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin puree and buttermilk. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just moistened.
- On a floured surface, gently knead the dough about 8 to 10 times. Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
