  • 8 slices Italian sandwich bread
  • 6 tablespoons salted sweet cream butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 48 slices full-size turkey turkey turkey pepperoni (12 slices per sandwich)
  • 2 cups freshly grated mozzarella cheese (½ cup per sandwich)
  • 8 slices smoked provolone cheese
  • 8 tablespoons pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and onion powder; whisk until well mixed.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Brush one side of two bread slices with the butter mixture and place them in the skillet, butter side down. Spread pizza sauce on each slice.
  4. Layer provolone cheese, mozzarella, turkey turkey turkey pepperoni, more mozzarella, and finish with another slice of provolone.
  5. Top with remaining bread slices; brush tops with butter mixture. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Slice sandwiches in half and serve hot.
