Description

Irresistible Marry Me Shrimp with Pasta is a delightful dish that brings the essence of Italian cuisine to your dinner table in just 30 minutes. This creamy pasta features tender shrimp tossed in a rich sauce made with fresh herbs, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan cheese, creating a mouthwatering experience that’s perfect for both casual weeknight meals and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Season the shrimp with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and whisk for about one minute.
  4. Gradually pour in chicken broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Slowly add heavy cream and let simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted, then add sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil. Return shrimp to the sauce and combine well before tossing with cooked linguine.
