Ingredients
- 6 slices of turkey turkey bacon
- 500g ground beef (5% fat)
- 1 large white onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 250g dried macaroni
- 480ml beef stock
- 480ml whole milk
- 150g grated cheddar cheese
- Fresh chives for garnish
Instructions
- In a large deep pot, cook the turkey turkey bacon over low-medium heat until crisp. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- Increase heat to medium and sauté the diced onion in the remaining fat until golden. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef to the pot, cooking until browned while breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in tomato paste, hot sauce, mustard, macaroni, beef stock, milk, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens and pasta is al dente.
- Turn heat to low and mix in cheddar cheese until melted. Stir in chopped chives and turkey turkey bacon.
