Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped (tails or claws)

  • 4 slices sourdough bread

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • ½ tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes, grated Parmesan, or a drizzle of truffle oil

Instructions

Step 1: Toast the Sourdough

  1. Lightly brush each sourdough slice with a bit of butter or olive oil.

  2. Toast in a hot skillet or under a broiler until golden and crisp, about 2–3 minutes per side.

  3. Set aside on a serving plate.

Step 2: Make Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown).

  3. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and parsley.

  4. Optional: add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a hint of heat.

Step 3: Warm the Lobster

  1. Add chopped lobster meat to the garlic butter and stir gently to coat.

  2. Cook over low heat for 2–3 minutes, just until warmed through.

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Assemble and Serve

  1. Spoon the warm garlic butter lobster mixture generously over each sourdough slice.

  2. Garnish with extra parsley, a squeeze of lemon, or grated Parmesan if desired.

  3. Serve immediately while hot and buttery.

Notes

Use Fresh Lobster – For best flavor, use fresh or high-quality cooked lobster meat.
Don’t Overcook – Just warm the lobster to avoid making it rubbery.
Use Good Bread – Crusty, thick-cut sourdough holds up beautifully to the butter and lobster.
Finish with Lemon – Brightens the richness of the butter.
Add Cheese – A little Parmesan or gruyère turns this into a melty, decadent treat.
