Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 2 packets brown gravy mix
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh minced parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into four patties about 3/4 inch thick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove patties from skillet and cover to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms in oil until tender.
- Stir in brown gravy mix and water; whisk until smooth.
- Add patties back into the skillet and simmer for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked.
