  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 packets brown gravy mix
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh minced parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into four patties about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Remove patties from skillet and cover to keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms in oil until tender.
  6. Stir in brown gravy mix and water; whisk until smooth.
  7. Add patties back into the skillet and simmer for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked.
  8. Adjust seasoning if necessary before serving hot.
