Ingredients
- 2–3 pounds beef chuck (diced into 1-inch pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ tablespoon onion powder
- 1 Au Jus gravy packet
- ½ packet Lipton onion soup mix
- 14.5 ounces beef broth
- 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the diced beef with olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the seasoned beef until golden brown on all sides.
- In another bowl, mix together beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, half of the Lipton onion soup mix, and Au Jus gravy packet until well combined.
- Place the seared beef in the crockpot and pour the gravy mixture over it. Stir gently to incorporate.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- To thicken the gravy, mix cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl until dissolved and add it to the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
