  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 oz onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 20 Ritz crackers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced yellow onions
  • 21 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup (2 x 10.5 oz cans)
  • 0.87 oz brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, egg, onion soup mix, and milk.
  2. Crush Ritz crackers in a Ziploc bag and add to the mixture; combine well.
  3. Shape into four patties and brown them in olive oil over medium-high heat in a sauté pan for about 3 minutes per side.
  4. Place diced onions in the bottom of the crock pot and layer the browned patties on top.
  5. Mix cream of mushroom soup, brown gravy mix, and beef broth in a bowl; pour over patties.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for about 4 hours.
  7. Once done, remove patties to thicken sauce with corn starch mixed in water for an additional 10 minutes before serving.
