Ingredients
For the Scrambled Eggs:
-
4 large eggs
-
2 tbsp milk or cream (for extra fluffiness)
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
-
2–3 tbsp Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor recommended)
Optional Garnishes & Serving Ideas:
-
Chopped fresh chives or parsley
-
Toasted sourdough or whole grain bread
-
Cherry tomatoes or avocado slices
-
Baby spinach or arugula
-
Hot sauce or chili flakes (if you like a kick)
Instructions
Step 1: Whisk the Eggs
-
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and frothy.
-
This aerates the eggs and makes them extra fluffy.
Step 2: Heat the Pan
-
Heat a non-stick skillet over low to medium-low heat.
-
Add butter or olive oil and let it melt, swirling to coat the pan.
Step 3: Cook the Eggs Slowly
-
Pour in the egg mixture.
-
Let the eggs sit undisturbed for 10–15 seconds, then gently stir with a spatula.
-
Continue stirring slowly, pushing eggs from the edges to the center.
Step 4: Add Boursin Cheese
-
When the eggs are about 75% set but still creamy, dot small spoonfuls of Boursin over the top.
-
Stir gently to melt and incorporate the cheese without over-mixing.
-
Remove from heat while still slightly soft—residual heat will finish cooking.
Step 5: Garnish & Serve
-
Plate the eggs and top with chopped herbs or a sprinkle of pepper.
-
Serve over toast, alongside roasted veggies, or in a breakfast burrito.
Notes
Low & Slow – Cook over low heat for soft, custard-like eggs.
Don’t Overcook – Remove from heat just before fully set.
Use Fresh Eggs – Fresher eggs have better texture and color.
Add Cheese Late – Helps keep the flavor distinct and melty.
Customize – Try other Boursin flavors or a touch of Parmesan for a twist.
