  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Add flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; add an egg, granulated sugar, and flour; mix until combined.
  5. Pour half of the pumpkin batter into the loaf pan, followed by spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining pumpkin batter.
  6. Bake for 60-80 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.
