Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Broiler
Set your oven to broil on high.
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Prep the Bread
Lay the bread slices on the baking sheet.
Optionally spread each slice with a thin layer of butter for a crispier base.
For extra flavor, add a thin smear of Dijon mustard.

Step 3: Toast the Bread
Place the bread under the broiler for 1–2 minutes, just until lightly golden.
Keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Step 4: Add the Cheese
Remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle each slice generously with grated Irish cheddar.
