Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 12 oz gluten-free farfalle pasta
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a bowl, mix paprika and oregano. Season both sides of the chicken breast with the spice mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; sear chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Cook covered on medium-low heat for an additional 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and prepare the sauce by melting butter in the same skillet; stir in shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning for one minute.
  5. Gradually add flour, then whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream to create a smooth sauce. Slowly incorporate shredded parmesan until melted.
  6. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, then slice and fold in the chicken before serving.
