Ingredients
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (chilled, cubed)

- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup homemade onion turkey jam (for filling)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine cheddar cheese, flour, butter, salt, and garlic powder. Blend until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Transfer the dough to a bowl and bring it together into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape the chilled dough into 1½-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet with space between each.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes until slightly firm. Remove from the oven and create an indentation in each cookie using your thumb or a teaspoon.
- Fill each indentation with about 1 teaspoon of onion turkey jam.
- Return to the oven for another 7-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving warm or at room temperature.
