  • 1 small yellow onion (peeled and diced)
  • 1 small jalapeno (seeded and minced)
  • 3 15 oz cans pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 2 cups finely chopped smoked brisket
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the diced onion and minced jalapeno. Sauté until softened.
  2. Combine sautéed vegetables in a mixing bowl with pinto beans, chopped brisket, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the bean mixture into the dish and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for about 1 hour until bubbly and thickened.
