  • 2 tablespoons white whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
  • 1/3 cup walnuts (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped apples with light brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together white whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, honey, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the apple mixture.
  6. In a small bowl, combine oats, white whole wheat flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cold butter cubes.
  7. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until crumbly.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the batter.
