Ingredients
For the Potatoes:
-
3 medium russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
-
1 ½ tbsp olive oil
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
Optional Garnishes:
-
Fresh parsley, chopped
-
Grated Parmesan cheese
-
Sour cream or ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and scrub the potatoes well.
Slice the potatoes into thin, even rounds, about ⅛-inch thick.
(Use a mandoline slicer for even slices if available.)
Step 2: Season the Slices
Place the potato slices in a large bowl.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Toss gently to coat all slices evenly.
Step 3: Arrange in the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if required by your model.
Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
(It’s okay if they overlap slightly, but avoid overcrowding for the crispiest results.)
Step 4: Air Fry the Potatoes
Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through.
Cook until the potatoes are golden brown and crisp around the edges.
Adjust cooking time slightly depending on the thickness of your slices and your air fryer model.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Transfer the sliced potatoes to a serving plate.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan if desired.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!
Notes
Slice Evenly – Uniform thickness ensures even cooking.
Don’t Overcrowd – Cook in batches if needed to allow for proper air circulation.
Toss Well – Evenly coated potatoes crisp up beautifully.
Watch Closely – Air fryers vary, so check early to avoid burning.
Season After Cooking – Add a little extra salt or seasoning after air frying if desired.
